Leon and Estelle Parker founded Master Kraft Construction and Supply Company in 1961. Before Leon became a business owner, he worked at a sheet metal plant (for a copper mine in Arizona) while attending refrigeration school at night. He then moved to Arkansas to open Master Kraft, previously known as Parker's Metal.

Leon and Estelle were the proud parents of two daughters and one son. He had twelve grandchildren of which, all but three have worked for the company. Master Kraft was first located behind Leon and Estelle's home on Lockesburg Street. In the late sixties, Master Kraft was moved to Main Street, where First National Bank is located now. Two businesses branched from Master Kraft, one was Suzy Q's Wallpaper and the other was Main Street Hardware. In 1975, Leon and Estelle moved Master Kraft where it stands today. Master Kraft is still going strong after 49 years of business.
